Rock, alternative, and pop are more electric guitar songs. However, learning the acoustic first would probably be better. you play country, some pop, classical, and r & b songs on accoustic

You can play any song on acoustic. If it something like (this is just an example) A day to Remembers " You Should've Killed Me When You Had The Chance", Just play the chords. Or, you could play other stuff like Jason Mraz chords. So basically you can play anything you want.
