Default Can a Paul Reed Smith guitar work for jazz

and not just a rock guitar? i'm getting into jazz but i play a lot of metal too. and when i go to jazz concerts and play will the judges mark me down for having a PRS SE Custom guitar? or will it be frowned upon by pro jazz players? or will i have to get a hollow body or something?

the sound is what matters the most. I don't think the jazz community will frown upon your guitar. I think a professional would respect such a nice instrument.
